« The good: - Our host (Fiona) was super friendly, quick to answer and very helpful! - The pool was humongous and plenty of pool area space. Definitely our favourite place at the property! - Overall a beautiful property and very much like in the photos! - We recommend this property and would love to stay here again in the future! The bad: - The sink/underlying piping was broken when we arrived, but Fiona arranged for a plumber who arrived around noon next day and fixed what was broken. - The 4th bedroom is essentially a loft with no door, sofa bed and no door to close (i.e. less privacy). Also no air condition in this room, so it was very hot. This should have been more clearly stated in the description. - The pool became a bit dirty and no one came to clean it during our week long stay there. - The entire property should benefit of a proper cleaning and just not the "quick" cleaning between tenants. - The tennis court is not on the actual property, but a 6-7 min drive away. »

Domaine des Charles, where Villa Hokiss is located, is a true haven of peace away from the village of Le Muy, immersed in the heart of authentic Mediterranean nature. Pine forest, olive trees and lush vegetation invite tranquillity and create an ideal setting for disconnecting. The vast majority of surrounding properties benefit, like the villa, from a secure environment protected from urban hustle and bustle, conducive to shaded walks and complete rest.
Just a few minutes' drive away, Le Muy town centre offers all amenities (supermarkets, bakeries, Provençal markets) in the typical atmosphere of Var. For restaurants, you will find warm establishments such as "La Table du Château" (local cuisine in a wine estate), "Chez Tonton Mangerie" or the highly appreciated "Tanaka 83" for a varied gastronomic experience. Allow approximately 5 to 7 minutes' drive from the Domaine.
For activities, the Muy region is particularly appreciated for its traditional markets (Sunday and Thursday), hiking in the Maures or Estérel massifs, and cycling trips between vineyards and hilltop villages. Less than 20 minutes away, Lake Aréna, Rocher de Roquebrune (climbing and hiking spot) or Aqualand Fréjus water park will delight young and old alike. The beaches of Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël are accessible in around twenty minutes by road.
As for transport, Le Muy is not directly served by train, but the TGV station of Saint-Raphaël-Valescure is 25 minutes' drive away. By bus, the ZOU! line serves Le Muy (town hall or town centre stop) and connects to Draguignan, Fréjus or Roquebrune-sur-Argens; the nearest stop is approximately 2 km from the Domaine, so it is preferable to opt for the car for most journeys.
A word about the town: Le Muy, an authentic Provençal village, is renowned for its large traditional market, one of the liveliest in the department. Its history is marked by the French Revolution (Le Muy was one of the first communes liberated during the Provence landings), and its charm is reflected in its old stone houses, lively narrow streets and wine estates. The village appeals to travellers and families thanks to its friendly atmosphere and its proximity to the major sites of the Côte d'Azur, without suffering its hustle and bustle.
Whether you are a lover of unspoilt nature, culinary discoveries, or seaside and sporting pursuits, the Domaine des Charles area and the town of Le Muy offer you authentic Provence, to be enjoyed at your own pace.

« Family of five, 10 days here during French heatwave. Lovely temperature inside and wonderful with the large swimming pool. Quiet area, far from neighbours, approximately 15 minutes' drive to large supermarkets. 20 minutes to beaches at Ste Maxime and via A8 you reach most places on Côte d'Azur within an hour. Highly recommended! »
« If you are looking for a villa in southern France with private pool and garden, this bnb is a good option. They got stylish furnitures, kitchen is well equipped. They even hired someone to clean the pool every 2-3 days. »
« A lovely, quiet house in a private residential complex, with excellent service from the management, though let out by an agency. A large, beautiful garden and a lovely pool. »
« A very nice villa with a very large, well-maintained garden in a peaceful setting. I recommend it. »
« Beautiful property in a particularly quiet, private location. No direct overlooking from other neighbours onto the terrace and pool area. Ideal with a dog and children – plenty of space, both inside the house and fully equipped. About 15 minutes by car to the nearest very large Super U supermarket. The house has aged decoratively, but is well maintained and everything was in working order. Great host! »
« A beautiful villa on a wonderful property. Unfortunately, the estate is somewhat dated. Nevertheless, we had a lovely stay. The highlight was the large pool. »
« We (2 couples with a toy poodle & husky) had a wonderful time in this dreamlike Airbnb! The house is beautifully furnished, the property is completely fenced – perfect for dogs. The pool area was great for relaxing and everything was available. The host was extremely friendly & helpful – for example, she spontaneously got us an iron. 🫶 A few small things: we had to clean the cutlery & crockery ourselves before using them. There were initially electrical problems (e.g. a short circuit at the gate), which we were able to resolve with the host. Only 3 hobs worked, as the others and the barbecue require gas – unfortunately there was no gas bottle. The pool was green upon arrival, but was cleaned 2 days later (the pool man only comes on Fridays). Nevertheless, the positives outweigh it: the beautiful property, wonderful host, pleasant air conditioning, peace & good communication. Absolute recommendation – we'd love to come back! ☀️🐾 »
« The stay was wonderful! Everything was well organised and the house itself is very nice, a unique location, a very large swimming pool and an enclosed large garden. Certainly suitable for us, because we had dogs with us that could roam freely. Highly recommended! »
